Are we really that different?
While we all have different backgrounds, and beliefs there is something that ties us all together. We are all human. We all make mistakes, and we all have a purpose on this earth. What is our purpose? Why are we all here? What is there to live for? There are so many questions that until they are answered, we live a pointless life. I believe wholeheartedly that we are here to serve our creator. Our purpose is to bring him glory. Without a purpose to live for, and without a reason to be here life is dull. I find enjoyment and fulfillment from serving others and in doing so bringing glory to God. When I try to do things for my glory all is pointless, I get frustrated and the joy is momentary if at all. I can not imagine living a life without the joy of my Lord and Savior, and yet so many people do.
What is culture
What is culture? What is the difference between the culture and the community we grew up in? why do cultures vary so greatly? I think that culture is the traditions, religion, customs and food that helped shape you into the person you are today. Sure these are all a part of a community, but a community may be made up of several different cultures. I think that culture goes beyond heritage, and where your family originated, but uses the things learned from the past combined with where you are today. As the entire world progresses in terms of technology, and the ability to travel around the globe, our cultures are changing. They are being more and more influenced by the cultures of people around the world, as well as things that were once non-existent. Cultures of the past and present are influenced by the natural geography, and the man made things all around us as well as technology and people. Each of these things changes the customs and traditions of different people groups around the world.
